Sorry I have been completely absent the past few weeks. Serb Camp has totally consumed me. I was the creative director this year, in charge of the group photos, documenting the entire week, making the newsletter, conducting surveys, coordinating the talent show, making the block awards and creating and selling the Camp DVD. It was INSANE! I don’t think I have ever been so busy in such a short period of time ever in my life.
Serb Camp is something that is very near and dear to my heart. I’ve been attending it since I was 5, back when it was held at the St. Nick camp grounds in Dunlap and well into the 2000’s when it was returned to Jackson, CA. I became a counselor in 2001 and have come back almost every summer. It’s tradition. It’s something all of us Californian Serbs swear by (next to Fourth of July and Diocesan Days); a right of passage if you will. I am so happy I had the time to attend this year.
